Executive manger of 1000 Scared Defense Fairs said:" The book fairs were held with an object to promote books and book reading throughout the country and since only 2 days have passed since their inauguration, the book fairs have been warmly welcomed.

IBNA: Literature and publication deputy of Sepah and Basij Organization of Preserving and Publishing Sacred Defense Values told IBNA that the organization is active in the social, cultural, defensive and artistic fields while as a representative of Basij Organization, the center is active in the cultural field including holding 1000 Sacred Defense Book Fairs.

Commander Ali Nazeri added:" The main issues concerned with books are firstly information dissemination and their proper distribution. The Organization of Basij has the capacity of holding such fairs which distribute the latest Sacred Defense works."

The executive manger of 1000 Scared Defense Fairs added:" Last year during the 1st edition of 1000 Sacred Defense Book Fairs the total sale mounted to 2,200,000$ which indeed flourished the market of Sacred Defense publications."

He said that the fairs are held with an object of promoting Sacred Defense books and book reading throughout Iran. Since only two days have passed since the inauguration the book fairs have been welcomed warmly.

Literature and publication deputy of Sepah and Basij Organization of Preserving and Publishing Sacred Defense Values went on to say that if the Guidance Ministry's cultural affairs deputy office and the publishers of Sacred Defense Publishers cooperate with the organization, next year the number of the fairs will increase to 5000."

He added:" A total of 3700books were submitted to the fair's secretariat of which 220 were released by 37 publishers including Soureh Mehr, Revayat Fath, Qadr velayat, Islamic Revolution's Doc's Center as well as War's Research and Docs center. The books are presented with a 50% discount."

The book fair's opening ceremony was held on Friday, Nov 18, with the attendance of Deputy Minister of Islamic Guidance and Culture for the cultural affairs Bahman Dorri, manager of Basij Organization Commander Ali Nazeri and Tehran's temporary Friday prayer Imam Ayatollah Kashani.
