All organizations in Iran were in one way of another involved with the TIBF arrangement indicating the event’s greatness, said head of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, Bahman Dorri.
IBNA: Dorri made his comments in the ceremony held to pay tribute the organizers of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair on June 12 at Bagh Ziba complex. “The international feedback of the fair was so enormous that cannot be appraised in a short time span. Over 20,000 people were engaged in the arrangement of the book fair which shows the greatness of the fair.”
As Dorri added, the Tehran book fair sold over 150 billion tumans over 11 days exhibiting a total of 400,000 book titles presented by some 4,000 exhibitors. Besides, many sideline halls were assumed for the 25th Tehran International Book Fair like the Islamic Awakening section, the Quarter of a Century and the Yas Hall.
Elsewhere in his address, the Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry added that foreign media have assumed some weak points for the book fair which “I believe are its strong points; one of the criticisms against the book fair is the size of the presented religious books. I think it is the fair’s strong point to be able to highlight religious books in such a magnitude in an Islamic country.”
At the end of the ceremony, representative of the organizers of the book fair received their awards and memorials from the Culture Minister.
