The Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia's publication is working on the 8th volume of "Bibliographies of Persian articles in Iranian Studies".

IBNA: Kashian, the manger of the scientific works' section of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia told IBNA that Professor Iraj Afshar released 6 volumes during his lifetime. The books contained the published articles of 1921 to 1997.

The collection's entries hold issues as countries, cities, figures as well as expressions. The first 6 volumes were released by Elmi-Farhangi publication and Fehrestegan.

He went on to say that the 7th volume was supervised by late Afshar as well and following that the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia undertook the collection's publication. The 7th volume contained the articles of 1998-2004.

Kashian added:" Afshar believed that every 10,000 records should be released in a volume. According to the theory the 9th volume is being prepared which will hold the articles of 2008-2011."

The 8th volume will be released before Iraj Afshar's death anniversary by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia's publication.
