Top officials at TIBF programs
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will attend the opening ceremony of 25th Tehran International Book Fair, announced Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry and head of the exhibition.
IBNA: Dorri announced the above in a session held following a visit from the fair by a number of reporters at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground to see the preparation progress of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair.
As Dorri said, the fair will be opened in a ceremony attended by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Moreover, head of the judicial system of Iran will be present at the closing ceremony of the fair.
Today morning (April 18, 2012), a group of reporters accompanied with TIBF organizers and officials paid a visit to the site of the exhibition and learned about the latest developments of the place.
After the visit a session was held in which Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry, elaborated on the fair’s top ceremonies and that they will be held in the presence of the country’s top government officials: the president, the parliament speaker and head of the judicial system of Iran.
Dorri further stressed the ban on publishers of anti-Shiism books at the book fair and stated that in case a book is found to contain improper contents or images, it publisher will be cast away from all Iranian book fairs forever.
He also explained some details about the discounts for students for purchase of books at the fair.
