Urumieh will host several top Iranian and foreign storytellers at the 15th International Storytelling Festival which will kick off on Jan. 26.

IBNA: The international affair's section of Institute of Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) has received the stories of the foreign participants and the best storytellers will soon be introduced to visit Iran and compete with Iranian storytellers.

For the very first time foreign storytellers will be evaluated besides their Iranian competitors.

The festival's organizers are willing to convert the cultural festival into a noted international event.

Talking about the event West Azerbaijan province's IIDCYA manager said that story and storytelling has constantly been interesting among children. When a child listens to a story he imagines himself as the work's characters while he analyzes their positive and negative features which indeed trains the child's creative mind.

The 15th International Storytelling Festival will kick off on Jan. 26.
