“Andrei Tarkovsky”, a volume of “Pocket Essentials” series which is rendered into Persian by Fardin Saheb-zamani has been marketed in Iran. Moreover the new edition of “Woody Allen” has been released as well.
IBNA: A new volume of "Pocket Essentials” series has been published in Iran. Converted into Persian by Fardin Saheb-zamani, the work has been released by Avand-e Danesh.
The publication’s manager Hadi Chapardar said: “The previous print of “Woody Allen” was released some 9 years ago. The series are translated by a group of noted cinema critics and the collection is marketed in Iran with an object of presenting a reference for introducing noted cinema directors.”

Talking about the book’s quality, he added: “The original works are in English. The books which are about deceased directors are converted as the original works but about the alive figures, the Persian renditions hold more pages which indeed include the director’s newest films as well as their criticisms.”

“Andrei Tarkovsky” doesn’t differ from its original version but since Woody Allen has produced new films, the Persian book holds more information, he added.

The released books include “Stanley Kubrick”, “Coen Brothers”, “Alfred Hitchcock” and “David Lynch”. Moreover I have translated “Krzysztof Kieslowski” which will be released in a near future, he added.
“Andrei Tarkovsky” is penned by Sean Martin. The Persian rendition has been released in 352 pages.
