Iran donates Arabic books to Ethiopia
In the meeting between Iranian cultural attaché in Ethiopia and the head of the department of linguistics and manuscripts in Addis Ababa University, Iran agreed to provide the university with some Arabic language sources and also to support the old manuscripts preserved in this university’s library with the help pf Iran national library. IBNA: According to the public relations and information office of the Islamic culture and relations organization, in this meeting Gholam Alaee, Iranian cultural attaché in Ethiopia emphasized on taking as much advantage as possible from Ethiopian cultural centers saying: Students are the real treasures of a country and it is necessary for the professors to guide them in the right way.
He said: education and teaching are necessary and the governments should prepare the grounds for the education of their youth.
“Bayeh Yamam” the head of the linguistics department of Addis Ababa university also refered to the cultural improvements in Iran after the Islamic revolution and said: Iran is a great country with an ancient history. And because of having rich resources it plays an important role in world economy.
It was decided that the Arabic sources for the linguistics department of Addis Ababa would be provided by Iranian cultural attaché in Ethiopia.
The opening ceremony of the artistic exhibition in the research center of Addis Ababa university was held in the presence of “Bayeh Yamam” as the guest of honor.
