Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) - Sociology of War compiled

Alireza shayan Mehr wrote "The Sociology of War". In this book that is to be published by the Sociologists Publications, Alireza Shayan Mehr makes a sociological approach to Iran-Iraq imposed war. Comparative reading of different treatments of the subject of Iran-Iraq imposed war in fiction, poetry and art makes a major part of this volume.

IBNA: Shayan Mehr said: "In this 300-page book, both positive and negative views of war according to the sociologists are included followed with a behavioral survey of different social groups, class and layers during the imposed war and afterwards."

He continued: "Comparative reading of different treatments of the subject of Iran-Iraq imposed war in fiction, poetry and art makes a major part of this volume."

Alireza Shayan Mehr then mentioned the absence of local views in sociological disputes and added: "Local sociology of Iran in terms of social behavior and ideology of the public has characteristics of its own and 'The Sociology of War' has a different outlook of the subject based on Iranian characteristics."

He added: "For the compilation of this work I have cited about 150 books in different literary genres and on the subject of Iran-Iraq imposed war."

The Sociology of War penned by Alireza Shayan Mehr will be soon released by the Sociologists Publications.
