Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) - Fair of Quran's role on Islamic Awakening

Parallel with the Fajr Decade, book fairs will be held at all of the country's Quranic centers themed at the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini and the impact of the holy Quran on the Islamic awakening.

IBNA: A press conference was held today (January 25, 2012) at the locality of Islamic Propagation Arrangement Council in the presence of Mehdi Ghareh Sheikhlou, head of the Quranic committee of the central headquarters of the Islamic Revolution Fajr Decade.

In his address, Sheikhlou stated that the Quranic society of the country has arranged numerous programs during the Fajr Decade given the fact that the period is parallel with the beginning of Imam Mahdi's (S) leadership and Prophet Mohammad.

He said as many as 200 Quranic festivals addressing children, young adults, youngsters and families are arranged to be held during the decade besides online Quran comprehension contests.

He went on to say that Darolquran Hakim Organization has arranged for the 6th assessment edition of Quran memorizers and will provide degrees for them.

What is more, a total of 50,000 copies of the holy Quran will be distributed among Quranic centers and institutes of the country during the period.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he added that 30 Quranic centers and institutes will be inaugurated during the decade by the general administration of Islamic propagation in provinces.
