Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) - 24 history, geography books released

During May 14-18, Iranian publishers printed 24 books on history and geography of which 22 were compilations.

IBNA: Among the 24 released books, 17 were debut works and the rest were reprints.

During the period, provincial publishers marketed only two book titles while the other books were printed by publishers located in Tehran.

Averagely 2379 copies and 313 pages were printed.

Some of the released books include "Latin America: From Coup d'état to democracy", "Tabriz historical gardens", "The political and social history of Khorasan during the Abbasid dynasty", " Darius the Great ", "The story of Alborz" and "The secret of Cyrus the great".

During the week, "Darius the Great" went through its 3rd reprint. The book is authored by Reza Shabani. The work is among the series of "What I know about Iran?" which is released by the Cultural Research Center. The series have been written in a simple language and the young generation have welcomed them warmly.
