Translated into Persian by Vahid Manoochehri Vahed, "Northanger Abbey" a novel by Jane Austen has been released in Iran.

IBNA: Jane Austen’s first novel, Northanger Abbey—published posthumously in 1818—tells the story of Catherine Morland and her dangerously sweet nature, innocence, and sometime self-delusion.

Northanger Abbey exposes the difference between reality and fantasy and questions who can be trusted as a true companion and who might actually be a shallow, false friend. It is considered to be the most light-hearted of Austen's novels.

The book had been previously translated into Persian by Reza Rezaee.

Jane Austen (16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction, set among the landed gentry, earned her a place as one of the most widely read writers in English literature, her realism and biting social commentary cementing her historical importance among scholars and critics.

Some of her books including Emma, Mansfield Park, Pride and Prejudice and ‭Persuasion have been rendered and released in Iran.

Translated into Persian by Vahid Manoochehri Vahed, "Northanger Abbey" has been released in 256 pages by Jami publications.
