The significance of Persian language in the Islamic Republic of Iran is to an extent that May 15 has been named the Persian Language Day. Persian is the language of friendship and peace and has conveyed the message of Iranians love and friendship to all around the world, he said. Ugandan university professors for their part extolled Persian language and said that learning this language will pave the way to know the great Iranian and Islamic culture and civilization. They also regarded Persian courses in Kampala University as a golden opportunity for students and those interested in Persian language.
