IBNA- On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the publication of 'Tractatus Logico-‎Philosophicus' (Latin for 'Logical Philosophical Treatise') by Austrian philosopher ‎Ludwig Wittgenstein, The Online Wittgenstein Symposium will be held in Tehran on ‎Thursday.‎
Online Wittgenstein Symposium due in Tehran
Austria's Cultural Association and Kharazmi University have organized the event. In this session, Iranian expert Masoud Tuchahi will deliver the opening speech; Professor Richard Heinrich will speak on Wittgenstein's perception of analysis and Professor Matthias Baz will discuss Wittgenstein's 'Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus' from the viewpoint of contemporary logicians.
Iranian expert Rasoul Rasoulipour will make a speech on the existentialist understanding of religion in the work of Wittgenstein; Mahdi Ghiasvand to discuss Wittgenstein's physicalism and finally, Malek Hosseini will elaborate on the logical-philosophical treatise as a source for Wittgenstein's later works.

'Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus' is the only book-length philosophical work by the Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein that was published during his lifetime. The project had a broad goal: to identify the relationship between language and reality and to define the limits of science. It is recognized by philosophers as a significant philosophical work of the twentieth century.
