IBNA- London based Markosia Publishing has released the English version of the first volume of Iranian graphic novel 'Arshia' by Ashkan Rahgozar.
Markosia had already published 'Jamshid', a series of graphic novels by Ashkan Rahgozar in English both in print and online formats. Following its collaboration with Iranian Hoorakhsh Studio, the English publisher has released the first volume of 'Arshia'.
the term "graphic novel" is applied broadly and includes fiction, non-fiction, and anthologized work. It is, at least in the United States, distinguished from the term "comic book", which is generally used for comics periodicals.
The graphic novel "Arshia", which is based on a character with the same name who is the minister of King Jamshid in the animation 'The Last Tale', tells the story of this character in his teen years.
Special designer and publisher of Persian comic books, Hoorakhsh Studio was established in 2016 and has published eight volumes of graphic novels by now. Markosia was established in 2005 and has become one of the UK's leading publishers of graphic novels.
