IBNA- A webinar in Tehran titled “A Critique of Kantian Interpretation” will consider the psychological basics of philosophy of social sciences suggested by eminent Austrian-British economist and philosopher Friedrich August Von Hayek.
The program is from the series of weekly meetings held by Tehran’s Book City Institute in which Iranian expert Aref Ebadi, a graduate from Nottingham and Cambridge universities will deliver a lecture on the subject. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 at 3 p.m. on Instagram/bookcityculturalcenter.
Friedrich Hayek is best known for his defense of classical liberalism. Hayek shared the 1974 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Gunnar Myrdal for his "pioneering work in the theory of money and economic fluctuations and penetrating analysis of the interdependence of economic, social and institutional phenomena".
His account of how changing prices communicate information that helps individuals co-ordinate their plans is widely regarded as an important achievement in economics, leading to his Nobel Prize.
