IBNA- On the sidelines of 25th Muscat International Book Fair, Oman International Photography Competition on the subject “Read” was held with the participation of Iranian artists.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), the 25th Muscat International Book Fair kicked off in Omani capital on February 22. On the sidelines of this event Oman International Photography Competition was held by the photographic society of that country and the works of Iranian artists were put on public display.
In the competition which was held in cooperation with International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), 1299 photos by 389 photographers from 43 countries were submitted to the secretariat of the event and finally 211 photos by 141 photos were selected to be displayed.
The photo exhibition which was opened at a ceremony attended by Abdul Mon’ee bin Mansour al-Hassani, Oman's Minister of Information featured 27 photos by 20 Iranian photographers among their works photos by Sara Shafiq and Ebrahim Ali-Pour were awarded Ribbon of Honor by FIAP and a work by Maryam Kalizadeh recived the Diploma of Honor by the Photographic Society of Oman.
