IBNA- A meeting titled "Under the Umbrella of Criticism", will review the French ‎translations of the late Iranian poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri in the House of Literati ‎affiliated to Iran's Book House Institute on Saturday.‎
According to IBNA correspondent, the poems of Sepehri translated by Daryush Shayegan into French will be focused in the meeting. The event will offer a view upon the perceptual foundations of translation; the aspects of phenomenology and fluidity of significance.
Semiologist and the university professor of French language and literature Hamid-Reza Sha'eiri will deliver a lecture in this event.
Sepehri is considered to be one of the five most famous Iranian poets who have practiced modern poetry alongside Nima Youshij, Ahmad Shamlou, Mehdi Akhavan-Sales, and Forough Farrokhzad.  Sepehri's poems have been translated into other languages as well including; English, French, Spanish and Italian.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 18 at 4 to 6 p.m.
