IBNA- The novel which based the blockbuster films ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, titled ‘On Stranger Tides’ by American author Tim Powers has been translated into Persian and is available at Iranian bookstores.
According to IBNA correspondent, ‘On Stranger Tides’, a 1987 historical fantasy novel by science fiction and fantasy author Tim Powers was nominated for the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel, and placed second in the annual Locus poll for best fantasy novel has been translated into Persian by Elham Mir-Hamidi and released by Elmi Publishing in 352 pages.
Synopsis of ‘On Stranger Tides’ reads: “Aboard the Vociferous Carmichael, puppeteer John Chandagnac is sailing toward Jamaica to claim his stolen birthright from an unscrupulous uncle, when the vessel is captured . . . by pirates!”
