According to IBNA correspondent, Mirhadi was herself one of the founders of the Children’s Book Council, a veteran professor of Children Literature in Iran and a nominee of Astrid Lindgren World Award. Her commemoration ceremony will be held in cooperation with Iran’s National Library and Archives Organization.

An ‎author and educator, she was a prominent cultural figure ‎who had served for more than 60 years in the fields of education, childhood ‎culture and children’s literature and was an influential figure in this respect. ‎ The lady managed the ‎compilation ‘The Encyclopedia of Children’ since 1979 as well.‎

Among her works are: ‘Mother and the Memories of ‎Fifty Years Living in Iran’, Children’s Instructor Work Book: Annual Schedule of ‎the instructors at kindergartens and primary schools’, ‘The One Who Went, ‎and the One who Came’ and ‘Social Sciences for the Fifth Graders’.‎

The commemoration ceremony of Touran Mirhadi is scheduled for Friday, June 14.
