IBNA- ‘Under the Olive Tree’ is a collection of works by Palestinian poets of resistance has been translated into Persian by Sirous Tahbaz.
According to IBNA correspondent, ‘Under the Olive Tree’ is a book researched and compiled by the celebrated Arab world writer Ghassan Kanafani, which has been translated into Persian by Sirous Tahbaz and released by Rouzbahan Publishing in Tehran.
The voluminous features the compositions of prominent Palestinian poets such as Mahmoud Darwish, Samih al-Ghasem, Fadavi Tughan, Tofigh Ziad, and Salem Jobran.
The significant point in this work is the impression of Palestine in the poems of Iranian poets which in final chapter is supplemented by the biographies of the Palestinian and Iranian poets which opens in new horizon to the readers.
Simin Behbahani, M. A. Sepanlou, Esmaeil Shahroudi and Ghaisar Aminpour are among those Iranian poets whose compositions on Palestine have been included in this collection.
