Book on Arba’een in English, Arabic distributed ‎
Speaking to IBNA correspondent, Mohsen Chini-Foroushan referred to the big walk ceremony of the mourners of the third Shi'ite Imam Hossein (AS) during Arba’een and two books published by the Office of Promotion of Islamic Culture.

“The book, ‘Spiritual Provisions for Arba’een’ was written by Mojtaba Hosseini and published in 2016 in Persian. The work has been recently translated into English and Arabic and will be presented to the interested pilgrims.”

Arba’een (literary forty) is a Shi’ite Muslim religious observance that occurs forty days after the Day of Ashura. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS), the grandson of prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who was killed on the 10th day of the month of Muharram. The Imam and 72 of his companions were martyred by Yazid’s army in the Battle of Karbala in 61 AH (680 CE).
