IBNA- Frankfurt Book Fair hosted the meetings between Iranian representatives and six European and Asian private publishers leading to cooperation on translation and publication of Iranian books within the framework of the Grant plan.
Executive secretary of the Grant Plan Department in Iran’s Culture Ministry Ayoub Dehqankar toldIBNA correspondent at the 70s Frankfurt International Book Fair that these private publishers are from Germany, Norway, Serbia, China, Russia and Syria.
The Grant plan is and initiative by Iran’s Ministry of Culture And Islamic Guidance which aims to introduce Iranian and Islamic culture by providing financial support for the translation and publication of Iranian books. The plan was first unveiled at the 69th Frankfurt Book Fair last year.
Dehqankar filter said: “Our achievements on the two first days of this edition of Frankfurt Book Fair has been considerable and we took concrete steps in cultural interaction with publishers from different countries.”
“They expressed their interest to boost cultural ties through the culture ministries of the countries in terms of the translation of Persian books into their languages and vice versa,” he added.
