IBNA- Iran’s Ambassador to Germany said that Juergen Boos, the President and CEO of Frankfurt Book Fair with visit Iran during the next two or three months.
Speaking to IBNA correspondent in Frankfurt, Iran's Ambassador to Germany Ali Majedi referred to the cultural potentials of our country and said: “The Iranian culture and art has yet to be adequately introduced to the world. The participation of international publishers at Frankfurt Book Fair provides an opportunity to introduce the works of Iranian writers and the ancient culture of our country.
Explaining about the Grant Plan initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, he said: “This plan plays a significant role in introducing the Iranian books as it encourages translators and publishers for translating these works.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Majedi said: “For more cultural interaction between Iran and Germany, our country should join the Berne Convention and the International Copyright Law. I hope the cultural officials and lawmakers in the country take the issue into special consideration since it paves the way for better presentation of Iranian books and culture.”
