IBNA- Managing Director of Tehran Municipality’s Organization for Investment and Public Participation said that Shahr-e Aftab (Sun City) Complex in the south of Tehran has all the standards and capacities for holding a book fair.
In an interview with IBNA, Mohsen Tork-Abadi, Managing Director of Tehran Municipality’s Organization for Investment and Public Participation said that according to schedule, Shahr-e Aftab is now getting ready to host the 29thTehran International Book Fair in and under an agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the complex will be handed to the authorities organizing this great cultural event on March 25, 2016.
He added that all activities related to the development and technical issues are completed and we are now finishing the rest such that if the reporters who had come to visit the set a few weeks ago would come now they’d sure notice 100 percent progress in the task.
About the advantages of transferring Tehran International Book Fair to Shahr-e Aftab, Torkabadi said: “In terms of traffic as well as finding places for holding this big fair, the Supreme Council for Urban Planning and Architecture has announced Shahr-e Aftab quite a suitable location to set up the permanent exhibitions. Also, in terms of investment, Shahr-e Aftab has potentials and standards for holding international events.”
