Iranian-German publishers relationship needs to be strengthened
In an interview with IBNA, Jessica Sanger (PhD) expressed her views about the 28th Tehran International Book Fair, saying: “This is the first time I visit Tehran International Book Fair. I had, of course, visited Iran once before. Tehran Book Fair is indeed amazing.”
Families visiting Tehran Book Fair make it special
She added: “It is very interesting to me to see people come to the Fair with their families. This is what makes this Book Fair very special.”
About “Reading, Dialogue with the World”, as the slogan of the Twenty-eighth Tehran Book Fair, Sanger said: “Reading is indeed a communication bridge between one person and other societies. Therefore, there is no better solution for knowing other cultures and communicating with them than reading sources like literary texts.”
In response to a question about reading Iranian works for learning about the Iranian culture, she said: “There has been an old cultural tradition between Iran and Germany like the literary adaptations of Goethe from the lyrics of Hafez. I have studied a few books on Iranian culture and I, of course, am interested in studying more.”
