IBNA- CEO of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) announced the programs of the Institute for attending international book fairs saying that Iran will participate in 18 book events in the forthcoming Iranian year.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations office of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute Ghader Ashna said: “We believe in attending international book first and are doing our best to take part in these events purposefully. Regarding the economic situation of our country, we have concentrated our efforts to partake in the events with utmost thrift and reduction in our expenses," he stated.
"We are following five policies and objectives regarding our attendance at international book fairs: participation at those fairs which have signed a memorandum of understanding with us, those which are internationally important, the fairs within the realm of Iranian and Islamic civilization, those which have cultural affinities with our country, and the book fairs in which the ground is provided for the promotion of Iranian books and publishing industry," CEO of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute Said.
Ashna added that Iran is scheduled to participate in the book fairs of Bologna, Frankfurt, Delhi, Seoul, Beijing, Moscow, Belgrade, Shanghai, Doha, Baghdad, Muscat, Kabul, Damascus, Istanbul, Beirut, Kuala Lumpur, Tunisia and Tajikistan for the upcoming Iranian year [which begins on March 22].
