IBNA- At a ceremony held in the Beijing International Studies University, seven Chinese Iranologists were honored.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations office of Sa'di Foundation in Tehran, the first edition of a ceremony which is aimed to hail Chinese Iranologists took place in the Beijing International Studies University on December 24 with several experts university instructors and students in attendance.
At the ceremony, Iran's Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarz-Zadeh, appreciated the cooperation of the Beijing International Studies University stressing that the historical ties between Iran and China is boosting in a variety of fields.
Referring to the scientific and academic relations with China, he said that Chinese academicians and scholars have been able to establish Iranology in China and the same is true for Iranian academicians who are developing Chinese studies in our country.
The Chinese Iranologists who were hailed at the program were: Li Ling, Peking University Professor; Yuan Wing Qi Professor of Peking University and a noted researcher of Iranian Sufi mystic literature; Li Xian, People's University of Beijing; Wen Ye Shiv, Professor of the Communication University of Beijing and the first Chinese graduate of Persian language and literature; Jang Hui, the translator of Rudaki, Khayyam and Nezami poets; Wank E Dan, Professor of Beijing University; and Mo Hong Yen, Professor of Beijing Foreign Language Studies University and author of over 17 books on Persian culture, language and literature.
