IBNA- Iran's Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi met Slovenian Ambassador to Tehran Kristina Radej on Tuesday and discussed on boosting cultural ties between the two countries.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations department of Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in that meeting Salehi stressed on cultural and artistic relations between the two countries and referred to a memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries which has created a promising prospect of improving such relations.
Salehi then spoke on Iranian cinema which enjoys a high status in Asia and the world. He also highlighted the Iranian film festivals including Fajr International Film Festival which is held annually in February among other Iranian international film events.
Mrs. Radej for her part said that Slovenia and Iran have enjoyed longstanding relations in various areas, such as politics and economy which are noteworthy and help to create a better understanding between the two nations. She also called for further artistic cooperation with Iran particularly in terms of music.
