BNA- The Festival of Reading 'Shahnameh' was held in Yerevan, Armenia for the students as the best readers were honored.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from Sa'di Foundation, the festival was attended by Iran's Cultural Attaché to Armenia as well as several Armenian officials including those of National Library of Children and Young Adults in Yerevan as well as a number of Persian language instructors and teachers in universities and schools.
The program featured a performance of 'Rostam and Sohrab', one of the main stories of 'Shahnameh' as well as reciting other poems from the voluminous epical masterpiece.
At the end of the ceremony, the best four readers were granted plaques of honor and special statues by Iran's Cultural Attaché to Armenia.
On the sidelines of the festival, and exhibition of paintings by students titled, "Iran from My View" was held which was welcomed by the visitors.
