IBNA- The Copyrights of ‎‘Call me Ziba’ ‎and 'Hasti' two Iranian books for children and ‎young adults written by Farhad Hassanzadeh were sold to Chinese publisher, Writers ‎Publishing House.‎
Copyrights of Iranian children books sold to Chinese publisher
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public and international relations office of Iran’s Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (ICIDCY), this measure was taken based on a plan for the translation of five Iranian novels for Chinese children and young adults aged 12 to 18.

The books were introduced by ICIDCY representative during Tehran International Book Fair 2019 to the Chinese publisher which is going to print each of them in 3000 copies. Writers Publishing House has already published 50 or regional books and has bought the copyrights of 30 works from foreign publishers and has sold the copyrights of 30 Chinese books to international publishers.

Hassanzadeh has been introduced by the Children’s Book Council of Iran  “his life achievement in the field of writing for children and young adults to International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) to run for Hans Christian Andersen Award 2020.  

Among his works are: ‘Love and Mirror’, ‘The Moonlight Guest’, ‘An Umbrella with White Butterflies’, ‘This Weblog Will Be Transferred', 'The Backyard', and 'Kooti Kooti Watch out You Don’t Catch a Cold – The Kooti Kooti Tales'.
