IBNA- The conference, Platonism and Aristotelianism in the History of Philosophy will be held in Pavia, Italy on September 16-17, 2019.
The event is scheduled to be held jointly by History of Philosophy Curriculum of the North-Western Italian Philosophy Consortium (FINO), and Collegio Giasone del Maino di Pavia at North-Western Italian Philosophy Consortium in Pavia, philevents.org reported.
The event is the 4th edition of the International Graduate Conference in the History of Philosophy, entitled Platonism and Aristotelianism in the History of Philosophy.
The organizers welcome presentations on the developments of both Platonism and Aristotelianism throughout the later Greek, Arabic, Latin, early and late modern traditions, up to and including twentieth-century philosophy.
Presentations will discuss salient issues in the transmission of, elaboration upon, and innovation within the philosophies of Plato and Aristotle along the different trajectories of their philosophical afterlives; they will “not” address either Plato or Aristotle as philosophers in their own terms.
