IBNA- ‘The Country of Discourse, Iran and Me’ by the noted Japanese Iranologist, Professor Emico Okada has been published in her country by Heibonsha Publishing.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from Iran's Cultural Attaché In Japan, the book ‘The Country of Discourse, Iran and Me’ was written by Ms. Okada after she was officially invited to Iran in 2017 to attend Tehran International Book Fair and meet Iranian a number of scholars.
A graduate from Tehran University Professor Okada Has spent over 50 years an Iranian studies particularly on the poetry of Hakim Omar Khayyam.
She has translated the last 100 couplets of Khayyam’s compositions from Persian. Okada has also researched on Hakim Abul-Qasem Ferdowsi and has translated his masterpiece ‘Shahnameh’ into Japanese as well. The scholar has also several articles on Iran in her career.
