IBNA- Iranian Cheshmeh Publishing which has already printed 6 works by the celebrated Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk has been officially appointed by him to release his works in Iran.
According to IBNA correspondent, Cheshmeh Publishing has already released the books 'My Name Is Red', 'The Black Book', 'The Red-Haired Woman', 'Cevdet Bey and His Sons', A Strangeness in My Mind' and 'The Secrets of the Black Book' by Orhan Pamuk. All these works have been translated into Persian by Ainollah Gharib.
Based on an agreement with the literary Agency of Pamuk, the Iranian publisher is authorized to release the books by the Turkish writer translated into Persian from now on. The agreement was signed after the Persian translations of these works were approved by Pamuk and his agents.
Orhan Pamuk is also a screenwriter and scholar who was granted the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature. As Turkey’s best-selling writer, his works have been translated into sixty languages with a print run of more than eleven million books. He is also a Professor of the Columbia University, where he teaches comparative literature and writing.
