IBNA- The meeting “Iranian Literature” was held in Istanbul Library of History, Literature and Art with university professors, experts, students and those interested in Persian language in attendance.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the event was held in cooperation of Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Istanbul, and Kadikoy Municipality Cultural Center in Istanbul.
At the beginning, a Turkish professor of Persian language and literature Naji Tuqmaq referred to the Iranian literature during the dynasties of Samanids, Buyids, Ghaznavids, Seljuks, Timurids and Safavids. He further spoke on the realm of Iranian classic literature and said that the historical process of Persian language and literature has continued both before the advent of Islam and in the post-Islamic era.
The head of Persian Language and Literature Department of Istanbul University Ali Güzelyüz described the course of Iranian contemporary literature after the Constitutional Movement and stated that from that time, Iranian literature changed from classic to modern.
