IBNA- International committee director of the 32nd Tehran Book Fair (TIBF) spoke on ‎the programs of China as the guest of honor in this event including the participation of ‎‎78 Chinese publishers with 4000 books.‎
China attends TIBF with 78 publishers and 4000 books
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the news department of the 32nd Tehran Book Fair, Ahmad Shakeri referred to the attendance of Chinese officials including the Deputy Culture Minister of that country at the opening ceremony of the event.

“After participation of the country at Beijing International Book Fair as the guest of honor, now the TIBF will play host to Chinese books, publishers as well as 10 writers, translators and illustrators. Also, China would have 30 special programs,” he said.

“A number of these programs will be held in the Literati House of Tehran Book Fair and the rest will take place in the Chinese stand in TIBF. Some programs have also been scheduled to be held in one of the Tehran universities,” Shakeri stated.

On the executive works at the international section, he said: “About a half of the construction plans in the international section of the fair have been implemented by now and we start to construct the stand of the guest of honor from April 15. The press conference of China as the guest of honor will also be held on April 22.

Director of international committee of the 32nd Tehran Book Fair pointed out that 30 countries directly or indirectly will participate at the event including representatives from Japan, Germany, India, Austria, South Korea, Russia, Afghanistan, Oman, Serbia, Qatar, Armenia, Lebanon, Syria and other countries.

Tehran International Book Fair is the prime Iranian book event held annually. The 32nd edition of this event will be held on April 24 to May 4 in the Mosalla of Imam Khomeini in Tehran.
