IBNA– The 4th meeting of the directors of the national libraries of the ECO member states will be held in Dushanbe, from November 27 to 29.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations department of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran, the head of the entity Ashraf Boroujerdi, along with the assistants and representatives of the organization, will attend the meeting.
The international relations of Iran’s National Library is in charge of producing the content of the program. Therefore, an Iranian delegation headed by Hanieh Gra’ili, the Executive Advisor to the Director of the National Library and Archives of Iran, is sent to the capital of Tajikistan to oversee the event.
Regarding the measures taken for the fourth meeting, Gra’ili said: "Although this meeting is held periodically in ECO countries, we have a duty to monitor the success of these meetings as the permanent secretariat of this summit; for this reason, before the meeting a delegation is departed to Dushanbe by Iran's national library.”
According to the representative of Iran's National Library and Archives, the Tajik government has made a great effort to hold this summit. She finally expressed her hope that the fourth meeting of the ECO Libraries will be held successfully.
The meeting will be held, after seven years of lag, in cooperation with the national libraries of Iran, Tajikistan and the Cultural Institute of ECO.
