IBNA- Iran’s stand at the 17th Vienna International Book Fair hosted discussions on boosting academic cooperation between Iran and Austria.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute, in the 17th edition of the Vienna Book Fair, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Iran’s stand presented 500 book titles and academic publications.
Director of the International Students Affairs at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Alizadeh, announced the dispatch of a university delegation from Iran to Vienna Book Fair to present the latest academic publications and introduce the scientific achievements of Iran.
Introducing the Iranian universities and forming new contacts with the Austrian universities and those in Europe as well as sending and hosting students and conducting joint research projects were among the other main goals pursued in Vienna Book Fair.
On the other hand, the Deputy of the Scientific and International Cooperation of the University of Kurdistan, Qobad Shafi`I (PhD), referred to holding workshops at FH JOANNEUM University of Graz in Austria and said: “The exchange of postgraduate students and planning shared scientific projects in the form of European program Horizon 2020 in short-term joint courses was agreed between the two sides.”
With the end of the activities of Iran’s stand in this fair, 100 volumes of books in German and English with Islamic issues were donated to the Islamic Center of Imam Ali (AS) in Vienna.
The Vienna Book Fair ended on November 12, 2017.
