IBNA- Attended by Ms. Anne Leer, Deputy Secretary-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Fifth National Conference on literary, Artistic and Related Rights opened at Vahdat Hall today morning.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Fifth National Conference on literary, Artistic and Related Rights started working at 9:00 a.m. in the presence of experts from Iran and the WIPO.
Ms. Anne Leer, Deputy Secretary-General of the WIPO was the special guest of this event which was attended by the Iranian ministers of culture and justice, and a group of national and international lawyers.
Ministry of Culture and the Islamic Guidance, headed by Ali Jannati as the trustee in the literary and artistic area of the country, dedicated the Fifth National Conference on literary, Artistic and Related Rights to examine the issue of “International Protection of the Literary and Artistic Works”, in order to perform its essential duties with the aim of protecting the rights of creators of literary and artistic works and culture.
Since a comprehensive study on the issue of accession to Berne Convention is assigned to the Ministry of Culture by the government, special sessions on the convention revolve around the consequences of scientific, cultural, social and political integration of Iran with the international copyright treaties.
