Sepehri's poems in French to be reviewed

IBNA- A meeting titled "Under the Umbrella of Criticism", will review the French translations of the late Iranian poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri in the House of Literati affiliated to Iran's Book House Institute on Saturday.
According to IBNA correspondent, the poems of Sepehri translated by Daryush Shayegan into French will be focused in the meeting. The event will offer a view upon the perceptual foundations of translation; the aspects of phenomenology and fluidity of significance.
Semiologist and the university professor of French language and literature Hamid-Reza Sha'eiri will deliver a lecture in this event.
Sepehri is considered to be one of the five most famous Iranian poets who have practiced modern poetry alongside Nima Youshij, Ahmad Shamlou, Mehdi Akhavan-Sales, and Forough Farrokhzad. Sepehri's poems have been translated into other languages as well including; English, French, Spanish and Italian.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 18 at 4 to 6 p.m.
