‎“Night of Italian Travelers” to be held in Tehran

IBNA- From the series of meetings on culture and art held by Bukhara Magazine “Night ‎of Italian Travelers” will be held in Tehran on Monday. ‎
 
According to IBNA correspondent, the program has been scheduled in cooperation with Book Museum and Documented Heritage Department of Iran’s National Library and Archives Organization which will host it.

The event will be attended by the Italian ambassador to Tehran Giuseppe Perrone, as well as a number of Iranian experts including Mohammad Behforouzi, Bahram Parvin Gonabadi, Iman Mansoub Basiri, Antonia Shoraka and Ali Dehbashi, Chief Editor of Bukhara Magazine who will deliver speeches at the event.

On the sideline of the program, an exhibition of books and documents by Italian travelers which are preserved in the repository of Iran’s National Library and Archives Organization will be unveiled.

The event will also feature a video message sent by Angelo Piemontese, the professor of Persian literature and linguistics at the universities of Rome, Venice and Strasburg, whose book ‘The Bibliography of Iran in Italian Language’ is among the key research works on Iranian studies in Italy.

He has also discovered a reliable version of ‘Manṭiq-uṭ-Ṭayr’ (Conference of the Birds) by noted Iranian mystic and poet Attar Neishaburi as well as a unique manuscript of ‘Shahnameh’ (Book of Kings) By Hakim Ferdowsi.
