Japanese children get to know Iranian books

IBNA- The Stand of Iran’s Center for the Intellectual Development of Children in the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair hosted the representatives of Kodansha Ltd. which plans to introduce Iranian books to Japanese children.

is Japan’s leading publishing house which was founded in 1909. As well as literary journals, books and special monthly magazines Kodansha is publishing one of the most important Japanese encyclopedias.
The publishing company has recently launched a section to publish international books for children and release books coming from all around the world for Japanese children. Along the same line, the representatives of Kodansha attended the stand of Iran’s Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (ICIDCY) in the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair and saw the books produced by the center.
The Japanese experts explained that Kodansha releases over 300 new titles of books annually for different age groups and expressed their hopes that publishing the books produced by ICIDCY enables them to introduce Iranian literature to Japanese children.
They also discussed holding talk shows at Japanese bookstores in cooperation with ICIDCY in a bid to get Japanese literati and people to know more about the Iranian books for children.
Tehran International Book Fair is the top Iranian book event held annually. The 32nd edition of this event will wrap up today in the Mosalla of Imam Khomeini in Tehran.
