IBNA- Saki Fujita, a Japanese illustrator has been amazed by seeing illustrations in Iranian books saying that Persian language is like painting.
According to IBNA correspondent, visiting Iranian stand at the 56th Bologna Children Book Fair, Fujita said: “I knew the country of Iran, but I was not familiar with the Iranian books. Here, in Bologna Book Fair I saw Iranian books and the illustrations in some of them particularly 'The Ace' attracted my attention and I went on to consider other Iranian children books
“I was amazed by seeing the illustrations of Iranian books. They feature joyful engaging colors which are different from Japanese illustration particularly in terms of the sketch and color,” Fujita said.
“The other element is Iranian calligraphy which is interesting to me and resembles painting as I had never seen such a beautiful calligraphy before. I'm also fond of books which provide more information about Iranian culture, traditions and rituals,” the Japanese illustrator added.
