Best works of Bratislava Illustration Biennial in Mashhad

IBNA- The best of Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) will be put on public display in the major Iranian city of Mashhad from today and for five days.
According to IBNA
correspondent, The event has been held in coordination with Executive Director of Biennial of Illustration Bratislava
Zuzana Jarošová, in line with the UNESCO
objectives, the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
, and in cooperation of Iran’s Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults to showcase these works in various Iranian provinces.
The expo features 42 award-winning works of Iranian and Slovakian artists at BIB. Among the displayed works, 29 illustrations are by Slovakian artists and 13 works have been created by the Iranian artists.
The exhibition was already held in the cities of Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, Kerman, Kerman province and Ahvaz, Khuzestan province of Iran.
Biennial of Illustration Bratislava is one of the oldest international honors for children's book illustrators. First awarded in 1967, it is one of the more prestigious children's book prizes today, along with Hans Christian Andersen Award
Up until now, Iranian artists Nour al-Din Zarinkelk, Farshid Mesghali, Behzad Gharibpour, Abolfazl Hemati Ahuyi, Sirous Tahbaz, Mahnoosh Moshiri and Ali Bouzari have been among the juries at various editions of BIB competition.
