First World War and Missionaries in Iran” meeting due

IBNA- Iran’s Research Center of Humanities and Cultural Studies has organized a meeting ‎titled “First World War and Missionaries in Iran”.‎
According to IBNA correspondent, the event which is scheduled for Monday, October 22 has been organized in cooperation with Iranian Association of history is the eighth meeting from the series of sessions considering the subject of Iranian social life in the first world war.

In this event which will be held at 3 to 5 p.m., two Iranian experts Safoura Boroumand and Vida Hamraz will make speech.

The presence of foreign Christian missionaries in Iran dates back to the Safavid era, when Christian missionaries arrived from Europe. In the later centuries, as well as religious teachings, they became involved in other activities such as education and medical services.
