‎‘The World's Best Karlson’ released for Iranian children

IBNA- The third volume from ‘Karlsson-on-the-Roof’ series titled ‘The World's Best ‎Karlson’ by the leading Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren has been translated and released in ‎Persian.‎
According to IBNA correspondent, ‘The World's Best Karlson’ has been translated into Persian and illustrated by Na’eem Tadayon. The book has been released by Houpa publishing in Tehran.

In this work, Astrid Lindgren narrates the story of a fictional character called Karlson which is seemingly omnipresent: “Smidge is used to Karlson, the funny little man with a propeller on his back, living on the roof. They are firm friends.

Now, anytime Karlson pops in, Smidge knows that there's fun and adventure in store. In this collection of stories, they flood the bathroom, celebrate Karlson's birthday, and prompt a newspaper to offer a reward when Karlson is mistaken for a spy!”

Lindgren was a prominent and influential national figure in Sweden well known both for her support for children's and animal rights and for her opposition to corporal punishment.

She also played a pivotal role in opposing tax policies adopted by the Swedish government which led to the fall of the Social Democrat administration in 1976.
‘The World's Best Karlson’ has been released in 274 pages and 2000 copies by Houpa Publishing.
