Iranian researcher receives international medal of Rumi

IBNA- At a ceremony an Iranian researcher of Mowlana Rumi Majid Pazuki received the ‎international medal for his works on the legendary Sufi mystic, thinker and poet. ‎
According to IBNA correspondent, the international medal of Rumi was granted to Pazuki (Ph.D.) in Bastam, Semnan Province of Iran by Mrs. Esin Çelebi Bayru, 22nd granddaughter of Mowlana Jalal al-Din Rumi and the vice president of International Mevlana Foundation.

The ceremony was attended by the master singular of Iranian traditional music Shahram Nazeri, the representative of International Mevlana Foundation Forouzandeh Arbabi and several Iranian figures of culture, art and science.  
Upon receiving the honor, Pazuki who is also the secretary of Shahroud and Bastam World Heritage Congress said: “I am a humble student of Mowlana and whatever I have learned, I learned from Shahram Nazeri who introduced me to the world of Mowlana and his profound ideas.”

International Mevlana Foundation has been founded in Istanbul in 1996 with the moral support of late Celâleddin Bâkır Çelebi. The purpose of the fund is to conduct researches about Mowlana, his works and thoughts and carry them over to the coming generations all around the world.

The Foundation offers consulting service for Mowlana gatherings, programs, books and artistic works to denote the thoughts and teachings of Mowlana. In 2009, the entity reached the criteria for accreditation in UNESCO.
