Commemoration ceremony to be held for Nazanin Daihimi

IBNA- Hanouz Publications in Tehran will hold a commemoration ceremony for the late Iranian young translator, editor and journalist Nazanin Daihimi who passed away of respiratory disease on November 13.
According to IBNA
correspondent, at the commemoration ceremony of Nazanin Daihimi which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, a number of noted Iranian translators and writers such as Abdollah Kowsari, Mojdeh Daghighi, Mohammad Rezaei, Abtin Golkar and Ali Asghar Sayedabadi will speak on her works.
In this event, Sayedabadi, a member of the jury panel of Flying Turtle Award, an annual celebration intended to select the best Iranian books for children and young adults will also make a speech on children and young adult books translated by Daihimi such as Mick Harte Was Here

which were nominated for Flying Turtle Award.
The daughter of celebrated Iranian translator of philosophy and author Khashayar Daihimi, Nazanin was born in 1988 in Tehran. Her mother, Roya Rezvani is also a translator and publisher.
As a teen, she began to learn translation under her father and later proved her talent in this career which was initiated in the field of children books. Nazanin studied theater at The University of Tehran
and translated works from the celebrated English language writers and playwrights such as Tom Stoppard
and Lucy Kirkwood
The commemoration ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. in Hanouz Bookstore located at No. 134, Karim Khan Avenue, between Iranshahr and Mahshahr.
