Iranian scholar Jaleh Amouzgar presents new book

IBNA- The new book by leading Iranologist and university professor Jaleh Amouzgar was released by Mo’ein Publishing in Tehran.

In an interview with IBNA, director of Mo’ein Publishing Lima Saleh Ramsari said that the book ‘From Iran’s past Times’ by scholar Jaleh Amouzgar was released.
“In her new book, Professor Amouzgar has considered the subjects of language, myth and culture studies in the work which is published for the first time,” he said.
Born in December 1939 in Khoy, West Azerbaijan province of Iran, Amouzgar pursued her education in France at Sorbonne University where she received a Ph.D. degree in Iranian studies. She has headed the Department of Ancient Iranian Culture and Languages at Tehran University for several years.
Amouzgar also received the prestigious Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, the highest medal awarded by the French government as well as Persian Cypress Award (an Iranian Cultural Heritage Prize).
Among her books are: ‘Zoroastrian Myth of Life’; ‘Pahlavi Language, Literature and Instructions’ and ‘Mythological History of Iran’.
Ramsari added that the other works of the scholar in addition to novels by the eminent Iranian writer Ahmad Mahmoud have been reprinted by Mo’ein Publishing.
