Bests of “Book and Cinema” section in TISFF named

IBNA- The best works of “Book and Cinema” section in the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) which was held from October 17 to 22, were named.
According to IBNA correspondent, the section “Book and Cinema” was held by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in cooperation with Iran’s Book House Institute (IBHI). In this section two short animation films, ‘Jamshid, A Requiem for a Myth’ by Mo’ein Samadi and ‘Dash Akol’ by Hajar Samadi together won the award of the best film.
The second award went to the Short live action film ‘Being There’ by Abtin Salimi Nassari. The award ceremony was held on October 22 at Andisheh Hall in Tehran.
Tehran International Short Film Festival is the major short film event in the Middle East. This year, over 5859 films from 117 countries were submitted to the festival and finally 110 films from 44 different countries competed in the international section of the event along with 9 Iranian films.
It is the third consecutive years which the Book House Institute and the Iranian youth Cinema Society collaborate to hold the section “book and Cinema” at TISFF.
