Kermani guest of honor in Tehran Short Film Fest

IBNA- Acclaimed Iranian writer of children and young adults’ books Houshang Moradi Kermani will attend the first day of the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival tomorrow as the guest of honor.
According to IBNA
correspondent, he will be present at opening ceremony and in the section “Book and Cinema” in which Iran’s Book House Institute (IBHI) is cooperating with Tehran International Short Film Festival
. A number of Iranian movies and TV-series have been made based on Moradi Kermani’s books. For example the TV series, ‘The Tales of Majid’ by Kiumars Pour-Ahmad
and the feature film ‘Mehman-e Maman
’ (2006), made by noted film director Dariush Mehrjui
are based on Moradi Kermani's novel with the same title.
Furthermore, at the opening ceremony, 3 books, ‘Essays on Short Film’, ‘Making a Short Film’ and ‘About Photography’ as text books for producing short movies will be unveiled.
Internationally known for his fiction books addressing children and young adults, the works of Moradi Kermani have been translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Greek, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Armenian and Turkish. The 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival is scheduled to kick off tomorrow and will run by October 22.
